GeoVision's new vandal proof dome: Outdoor IR with cure for IR reflection

Taipei, Taiwan
GeoVision revamps its current vandal proof dome offering with external IR design housing, smart cable routing and more, to make installation easier than ever.

GeoVision's new vandal proof dome handles day and night well. With IR LED on and outdoor at night, dust and dirt collected on the glass surface can easily frustrate you. At night when camera's IR light is on and hit the dust, the image ends up shining into the glass resulting invalid images – this is not an issue with GeoVision’s Vandal Proof Dome V3 (VD-V3). VD-V3 runs on a renovated design - the IR LEDs up to 30-meter IR distance are placed separately in its own protective shield. It is the ultimate design to avoid IR reflection.

VD-V3 makes installation a pleasure in the renovated model. One thing it keeps every cable (power/video/audio, DI & DO) neatly packed in a waterproof rubber tube, so cables will not get in the way during installation. Cable routing gauge on the camera base routes the cables, and the widened gauge and metal sliding board keeps cables neat inside.

VD-V3 also addresses the problem for ceiling mount, through metal string and cover holding design. The metal string holds the screws while installing up on the ladder, prevent the screws from falling. The camera protective cover are also held by metal springs, this means installer can pull down the inside module and plug in the cable directly, without remove the system from the top ceiling.

Other welcome features include one-button focus motorized lens, PoE-powered, and even L-shaped audio jack. Arctic model is also available with heater and blower built-in for severe weather.

GeoVision brings all kinds of new features designed for installers in VD-V3. Installers will find good installation experience in this new design.
